International Management Services Ltd is made up of a strong inhouse team of experienced professionals with relevant academic and professional credentials. The multi-disciplinary team posses expertise in accounting, international taxation, finance, legal and compliance as well as international logistics. The team has been a major contributing factor in the success of the international day to day  operations of many of our clients. The senior members of the IMS team are listed below.

GORDON MIFSUD – MANAGING DIRECTOR

Gordon is the managing director of IMS which he founded in 1985. He has been advising international clients on the setting up of international corporate structures for the past 30 years and is a board member of various companies in a variety industries, including subsidiaries of internationally listed companies.

Prior to setting up IMS, Gordon practiced with a leading Maltese audit firm until 1982, following which he joined the international audit firm Coopers & Lybrand (today PricewaterhouseCoopers) in Milan for nine years. During this time, Gordon gained invaluable experience auditing large US, UK and Italian firms, including multinational companies. He was also assigned to the United Nations World Food Programme for a period of two years where he developed procedures for handling international emergencies and covered the famine crises in Ethiopia, Sudan and Chad, as well as the Afghan refugee crises in Pakistan.

Gordon obtained his ACCA qualification in the UK and is now a fellow member. He is also a fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners.

He is fluent in Maltese, English and Italian.

ADRIAN GIORDANO IMBROLL – DIRECTOR

Adrian joined IMS in 1997 and has since then been extensively involved in setting up and managing accounting and administrative systems for international clients.

He was instrumental in the development and implementation of the IMS Back Office Online system which enables worldwide international groups to centralise their accounting and logistics functions in Malta. He also provides advice to international clients involved in complex commercial transactions.

Adrian qualified as a Certified Public Accountant from the University of Malta in 2000 after reading for a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree, with a thesis entitled International Financial Services: Instrumental for Malta’s Economic Growth. He also holds a master’s degree in Financial Services from the University of Malta with a dissertation examining Systems of international tax anti-avoidance legislation with specific reference to CFC and transfer pricing.

He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Malta Institute of Accountants, the Malta Institute of Taxation and the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners (IFSP).

He is fluent Maltese, English and Italian.

Adrian has various interests with the main one being athletics.  Apart from being an athlete himself he is also a National Technical Official (World Athletics).

Kristian Galea – Senior Manager (Accounts Department)

Kristian joined IMS in 2012 and manages a team of accounting professionals who are responsible for servicing a portfolio of international clients. He is the point of reference for a number of existing and prospective clients, ensuring that the accounting services being offered by IMS meet their expectations. He has vast experience across various industries, including manufacturing, insurance, retail and wholesale, gaming, and shipping.

Prior to joining IMS, Kristian spent three years working within the audit department of one of the Big Four Audit Firms and was involved in the audit of some of Malta’s largest groups of companies. He also gained the invaluable experience of going on secondment to Australia where he was involved in a variety of audit assignments.

He is a qualified Certified Public Accountant following the successful completion of a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) and also obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accountancy and Management.

Ben Psaila – Manager (Corporate and Compliance)

Ben joined IMS whilst pursuing his University studies in 2009. He is responsible for client onboarding and establishing local structures as well as ongoing client-related matters, including banking requirements, liaising with local authorities, employment-related issues, and licensing matters. He also has extensive experience in the handling of various local tax residency schemes for individuals.

Ben is a Certified Public Accountant following the completion of his ACCA qualification. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours in   Banking and Finance from the University of Malta. He is a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants.

Ben is an avid runner and takes part in a number of local races including the Malta half marathon.

Jonathan Saliba – Manager (Accounts Department)

Jonathan joined IMS in 2014 and is a manager within the accounts team. He handles a portfolio of clients from various sectors and assists in their daily requirements which relate largely to accounting and tax matters. He has developed a strong insight into certain industries, in particular the iGaming industry where he has handled the day-to-day needs of various clients.

Prior to joining IMS, Jonathan formed part of the accounting team of a local operator within the tourism and hospitality industry.

Jonathan is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants and is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He is fluent in Maltese, English and Italian.

During his free time, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his family and going for a jog. Jonathan is also an avid football fan.

Jessica Scerri Giordano – Manager (Corporate and Compliance)

Jessica Scerri Giordano is a Manager in the Corporate Department of IMS. She joined the Company in 2006.

She forms part of the Corporate Department and is involved in the handling of various matters including and administration, payroll and employment related matters, compliance and due diligence requirements. Jessica also acts as a point of reference with local financial institutions for the setting up, day-to-day and annual maintenance of bank accounts.

Before joining IMS, Jessica worked for 3 years in the administration of a local security company.

Jessica read for a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours in Management at the University of Malta which she completed in 2007. She then went on to successfully complete her MBA studies at the University of Malta in 2012.

Matthew Alexander – Compliance Administrator

Matthew joined IMS as a Compliance Administrator in 2023 and is responsible for the carrying out of the Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes to ensure that Anti-Money Laundering / Combatting the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) regulations and standards are adhered to.

He has over 15 years of experience working within the Financial Services industry across various roles, most recently as a CDD & KYC Deputy Team Manager within the commercial team of a global leading bank.

Matthew obtained a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Business Enterprise in 2015.

Matthew has played sports throughout his life and developed a passion for rugby as a teenager. He has won the local cup and league on numerous occasions and has represented Malta up until Under-21 level. Matthew enjoys travelling, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.
